Low Price Xbox 360 Elite Winter 2009 Lego Batman / Pure Bundle
XBOX 360 purchase……
I am a pretty big cod player and had my 360 since about 6 months after they originally release, however it needed to be replaced this year. I purchased one on amazon a while back and then the unit went on sale for a better price about 2 weeks later. I love my 360 but am not to happy with my purchase from amazon. To get the better price I had to order a new xbox and request a return on my old one. Instead of amazon offering a price adjustment, I had to pay for the 2nd box, pay shipping to return the previously purchase one and wait for the refund to hit my credit card. Amazon does most of the things right on here but definitely needs to chage this as any retailer will do a price adjustment with-in 30 days if the item goes on sale. Rating this purchase at 3 stars because of the hassle involved in getting the better deal but the xbox itself has been great.

Beware: “open tray” still happening on ’09 Winter Elite’ 360′s
Just wanted to warn everyone. After having the “open tray” error on two, brand new Xbox 360 arcades in the past, I thought they would have fixed this error when I shelled out $280.00 for the “’09 Winter Elite” bundle.. The console came and I used it mildly, thinking i’ve FINALY found a version of the 360 where the DVD-ROM doesn’t fail. I played maybe one or two games on the dvd-rom and within 20 days I got the “open tray” error. Thankfully, amazon is going to do a full replacement for my elite. I am glad I double checked with Amazon before requesting my 7th ( Yes 7th!) warranty order though Microsoft. Microsoft will just send you a remanufactured 360. I’ve been down that road three different times. Each remanufactured 360 STILL, amazingly, gave me the “open tray error”. I really enjoy this console, but never in my life have I had so many problems with a product. For those of you familiar with the “open tray” error; just a friendly reminder, the ’09 winter elite gave me the same error within 20 days of purchase. Hopefully, this new replacement will come with a updated DVD-rom drive. I think Microsoft needs to do a serious revamp of firmware on these Lite-on drives.
