Very Good Value for a Starter Camera
I’ve had this item for about 2.5 months now and I am most impressed with its quality. Very good picture quality for the money. Great for someone looking to get into DSLRs. I’ve bought a couple of new lenses and both work great with the camera.
The only thing I would have liked to have seen were Live Preview on the LCD and Exposure Bracketing. Both of these features could be added through the firmware, and they are present on similar models, so there really isn’t a reason not to add them except to encourage people to upgrade. All in all these are minor issues and maybe Nikon will even issue a firmware update down the road to add these features.
The couple of missing features aside I am very satisfied with this camera and would buy it again.

I really like this camera. It does take some getting use to. As I learn how to make my way around menus and such, it seems like they could have made it a bit more user friendly, but the camera takes great pictures.
