Overall, this unit is all one needs for the standard house. As an electrician myself, I found it relatively easy to understand and to install. I did make a few changes though, and that was to change the 20 amp and the 30 amp DP breaker to 15 amp SP. as I had no use for the larger ones. They were easily attainable at Menards. I also brought my essential circuits directly into the Generator panel, thus eliminating the need of running “through” the main panel. This is easy to do on a new house installation.
