Construction Field Estimator
Established Service and Construction Company is looking for individuals with estimating skills in commercial projects. Knowledge in various trades a must for this position. The ideal candidate must have the leadership skills to instruct company employees and sub-contractors to ensure projects are to be completed on time and under budget. Projects are located throughout the Northern California area.
General Overview:
Construction Field Estimator for Property Services Company
Must have 5+ years of Estimating and Project management experience
Proficiency in reading blueprints plans
Take Plans , Pricing, Submitting Bids, Negotiation of Contract
Must Estimate and Run jobs from A to Z
Communication skills are a must
Organized and Self Determined
Clean driving record (this position requires a high amount of travel)
Valid California driver’s license and proof of insurance are a must
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of service and construction estimating in various trades (such as masonry, framing, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, roofing, etc.)
Demonstrate organizational and time management skills.
Be detail oriented and problem solver
Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
Demonstrate ability in problem solving (collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a timely basis) and negotiation.
Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate estimates and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
Demonstrate intermediate skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet)
Ability to read & understand bid set drawings, construction blue-prints & specification writing
Knowledge of code requirements ADA and building codes for Cal OSHA
Relationship building with clients is an essential part of this position.
Perform job walks to determine site condition, take field measurements & photographs
