Spoke : Spoke New Zealand’s original mountain biking magazine and is aimed at the discerning. It is published quaterly and released in February, May, August and November. Spoke focuses on the the people behind mountain biking, the trail builders, the team managers rather than on the?competitive element of the sport, Spoke also places a heavy empasis on imagery and has regular contributions from the worlds best photographers. Spoke is a world renowned magazine and has featured in Bike Magazine (USA) and was one of the man press partners with the Drop In TV series 4.

Every issue I have received has been filled with articles that inform, entertain, and appeal to all who love cycling. Not aimed toward the spandex-clad (though many who sport such outfits would find plenty to like here) the magazine captures the spirit of everyday folks who simply love to bike. I wouldn’t miss an issue!

I am being asked by amazon.com to review the purchase of a subscription to Bicycle Times. I can’t do that since I have not received a single issue. All I can say is that the subscription department for this publication is excessively slow.

VeloNews Great rag, but 3 months to start? – Casey Hearn – California
Title pretty much says it all. This is a great magazine that my folks got me for a birthday gift. Though, it would be nice if the subscription started somewhat timely. My birthday is the first of July… she was emailed that the 1st issue of the subscription will arrive in Sept or Oct. WTF?!

Sounds like she should paying for it now and hopeing it could end up a Christmas present.
Pretty lame on the timeliness, but anyone who likes cycling would love the magazine.

Watch out for unauthorized auto renewals at twice the price!

I ordered this Bicyle Magazine from Amazon for about .50 one year ago. Magazine is ok. The killer though is i got an ‘automatic’ renewal charge of by bicycle one year later with me authorizing amazon on bicycle to do. Thats no legal and really upsets me as then have find number for bicyle, track down account number, call in, go thru menus, get to agent, cancel, and pray they do not do again. People should go to jail for that.

I buy a lot from amazon but guess there will be no more subscriptions from them.
