Although I found parts for newer Breadman models at VERY good prices, I could not find my older Breadman, Model # TR2200 listed on their website. I did, however, call their phone #, 1-800-231-9786 and was able to order a breadpan at a reasonable price with free shipping. Although the price was about double that of the newer model breadpans, it was about 40% of the price plus shipping that Salton wanted about 2 years ago, as I recollect!
I had sworn never again to buy Salton products for similar quality and price gauging issues and was investigating a purchase of a new breadmaker since I could buy a new one very cheaply. That’s how I came across these customer comments.
BTW, I have kept my old breadpan working, although all the bottom seals, etc. have failed. To do this, I have ripped out all the old rubber parts and replaced them with rubber washers and O rings. The shaft wobbles as the clearance between it and the bronze bushing is huge and growing. The bottom still leakes a little but since I only add the wet ingreadients after about 2/3 of the dry ones are placed, the situation is manageable. Cleaning is a chore using toothpicks and other devices.
I am supposed to get my new pan in about 2 weeks. If it does not work out, I will add a comment.
This is our first bread machine. It works very well, There is a little learning curve to input your own recipes into the machine. After that you always have them in the memory. We love the machine. The very first loaf was perfect as all of them after. Yes it does make noise but it’s not unbeariable. Certainly not as much noise as getting out the pots and pans, mixing batter and all that by hand. It does move around a little, it’s almost fun to watch. It makes two size loaves one and two pound. The bread is tender airy, to tough and chewy depending on your recipe and really good hot out of the machine. We checked all over and Amazon had the best price by far.
