Human Resources Manager (Las Vegas)

Harmon Point, Inc is seeking a FT Human Resources Manager for it’s corporate office.

Job Summary: Administers company policies regarding compensation, benefits, staffing, labor relations, performance management, payroll and safety. Preserves the interest of the company while meeting the needs of employees in personnel-related matters.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:
1. Serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and helping resolve work-related concerns.
2. Analyzes and modifies compensation and benefits policies and practices to establish competitive programs and ensures compliance with legal requirements.
3. Advises managers on company policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommends needed changes.
4. Performs difficult staffing duties including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
5. Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
6. Identifies staff vacancies and assists management team to recruit, interview and select the best applicants while adhering to equal employment opportunity guidelines. Writes and posts advertisements in various internet locations. Researches and writes position-specific interview questions to ensure an unbiased interviewing process for applicants.
7. Conducts reference checks, and presents/negotiates offers of employment within established compensation guidelines.
8. Plans, organizes and coordinates the personnel, training, and labor relations activities to meet strategic objectives of the company.
9. Represents the company at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
10. Administers compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety programs, and ensures equity among employees within each position.
11. Maintains personnel records in paper and electronic format. Ensures that appropriate documentation is complete for status changes, hires, terminations and disciplinary actions.

Summary of Non-Essential Job Functions:
1. Maintains positive employee relations with a high level of professionalism through observing employees and anticipating their needs, and responding promptly.
2. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Superior customer service skills
• Excellent oral and written communication utilizing English, and interpersonal skills with focused attention to deal effectively with all business contacts
• Ability to work in a high volume, high pressure environment and remain calm, focused and productive
• Must be self-motivated with ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States required

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to generally sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods, and bend, stoop and kneel occasionally
• Ability to generally stand, bend, walk, and kneel for prolonged periods, and sit and stoop occasionally

• Ability to normally imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged
• Ability to regularly match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
• Ability to regularly speak and hear to use telephone, and to communicate with managers, co-workers, and business contacts, etc.
