The Sales Operations Associate will participate in the fully-paid Operations Associate Program designed to provide broad and diverse exposure to Sirius infrastructure and operational processes.
After completion of the training program the position will focus on five key Operations teams who support IBMs product portfolio, System x and Dell, Cisco and HP, IBM Services, and Quality Assurance.
After successful completion of the training program, you will contribute as a valuable member of our Sales Operations Team.
Through the training program you will gain a solid understanding of all aspects of order requirements and fulfillment associated with a sales opportunity.
Specific activities include, but are not limited, to the following:
Configuration request
Proposal generation
Special bid, rebate, promotions, special pricing and order exception requests
Order fulfillment
Shipping and delivery status updates
Engagement of vendors for price negotiation and sourcing of product
Invoice and payment issue reconciliations
Understanding of how the sales cycle and operation processes coincide to ensure that all activities associated with a sales opportunity are worked efficiently and effectively
Functional knowledge of deal structuring including pricing strengths and weaknesses of System x and Dell offerings
Competency with the vendor PO process that includes the Quality Assurance requirements, the creation of the PO, submitting the PO to vendor, receiving, and credit/rebills
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance OR equivalent related work experience
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Solid organizational and time management skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and record keeping
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision
Working knowledge of common business practices related to purchasing, pricing, and payment for commodities and services, as demonstrated by experience in Customer Service, Inside Sales, Purchasing, and/or Accounting
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
CRM experience a plus
