You can choose between the three of the above which laptop ultraportable is best for you in terms of weight, computing power, additional features, looks, price, & most importantly your needs. For starters, the TwinHead Abec J13Se does not have the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD unlike the ones from NEC & Acer hence it is not capable of full 1080p high-definition video playback, including playing Blu-ray disc movies. It is quite a major setback for the TwinHead Abec J13Se, don’t you think? Then again, would you pay $115 to $170 price extra just to be able to watch HD videos on a small display laptop? Perhaps it is better to view HD movies on super large screens.

In terms of weight, you may want to choose the Twinhead Abec J13Se because it is the lightest at a mere 1.67 kilograms (3.7 lbs) & the spill resistant feature is a plus. The Acer 2930 is the heaviest among the three at 2.1 kg (4.6 lbs.).

*Do note that the weight does not include the adaptor & the bag which you will place the laptop & its peripherals inside. Keep in mind that a few hundred grams less will feel more comfortable for you on long walks. A lightweight laptop ultraportable is also easier to bring about while traveling overseas.

In terms of computing power, you may want to go for the Acer 2930 because of the faster Intel chip for more efficiency. You can see that the priciest laptop ultraportable in the group is the Acer Aspire 2930. You pay a bit more for the better Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5800 which is the best in the group because of its 2mb L2 cache & 800 Mhz FSB. Also the 1GB DDR2 rams that come standard on all three laptop ultraportables is not an issue. Rams are lower priced nowadays and you can upgrade double or triple it for less than $50. There is no use to upgrade more than 3GB on a non graphic intensive laptop since the Vista operating system can only utilize a max 3GB of rams.

*Do note that all the NEC Versa S5600 uses the same chipset as the Acer 2930 so you can do a chip upgrade in the future up to the Intel Core 2 Duo P9500 which boasts a 6MB L2 cache & 1066 Mhz FSB! The chipset on the TwinHead Abec J13Se is no pushover either. The Intel® 965 PM Chipset can support the Intel Core 2 Duo T9500 which is similar features to the P9500. The main differences being the P9500 runs on less wattage which is 25 watts as compared to the T9500 35 watts & that the T9500 only has a 800Mhz FSB. The question is do you need so much power & will you ever upgrade the laptop CPU? You may as well buy the best standard offering you can now rather than ponder on an uncertain upgrade.

In terms of additional features, all the three laptops have pretty much the same features with Acer having an insignificant edge of a 5 in 1 card reader while the other two offer only 4 in 1 card readers. Anyway, it is possible that you won’t even use the extra 1 type card reader.

In terms of price; well, it is a bit subjective because one should consider other values like the above too. I don’t mind paying a bit more knowing that I am receiving the goods that are worth the increase in price. Looks wise, go for the colored NEC Versa S5600. Some styling in life will not hurt you. Extras wise, Acer is providing an attractive deal with the free 8GB thumb drive & the 3 year warranty. An additional $60 for the better processor is not a bad deal considering the freebies.

I believe the balance of a price, small size; power, usability, & weight are the most important factor in choosing your laptop ultraportable because they are the main reasons why you are not buying a big laptop or a smaller netbook in the first place. For folks who don’t need an ultraportable laptop to do graphic intensive applications like CAD, 3D modeling, or playing the newest high octane PC games then one of the aforementioned three laptops from NEC, Acer, & TwinHead is a perfect choice! Just remember why you wanted to buy a netbook in the first place & now instead you see a better value in buying a laptop ultraportable. Yes, you got it! The reason is because so you can walk anywhere with a small & lightweight laptop in your hands & always be connected to the internet!

I wanted a computer that gave a high-end performance with all the bells and whistles but at a price that was still inexpensive, so I bought an Acer Aspire 8930 laptop. Price of the Acer Aspire 8930 Laptop Computer - One of the first reasons why I’m reviewing the Acer Aspire 8930 laptop computer so highly is because of the price. Now, it’s not a very cheap computer (I paid just over $1,200 for it in Thailand) but for what you get, it’s amazing. Sure, it’s more expensive than the smaller notebook computers that Acer manufactures, but the 8930 is a fully-loaded home entertainment computer, so perfect for videos, games, movies, photos and more.

Appearance of the Acer Aspire 8930 Laptop Computer - So, I admit, I go for style when I’m buying computers and the Acer Aspire 8930 has all the style you could want. From the beautiful textured metallic surface with the Acer logo floating on it, to the textured touch pad and the shiny black surround. Add in the enormous 18.4 inch screen that has a glossy finish and it really is perfect. One thing I love about the screen too is, even with the glossy finish, you can still see it perfectly well with sunlight shining directly on it. The Acer Aspire 8930 laptop computer really is a thing of beauty.

Performance of the Acer Aspire 8930 Laptop Computer - It has a 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB memory, 320GB hard drive, an Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT graphics card and a very cool webcam. From the minute I powered it up, it was fast and it hasn’t let me down since. Programs open in a second, videos never falter, internet browsing is like lightning and every computer game I’ve played on it has worked like a charm. Plus, with the glossy screen, games and movies just look good too.

Speakers on the Acer Aspire 8930 Laptop Computer - There’s a 5.1 speaker system with sub woofers that, for a laptop, does give pretty decent sound. Several reviews before I bought it said the sound was low quality but that wasn’t my experience. Sure, it’s not going to flood the room with surround sound (it’s a laptop!) but sound is easily listened to and, for me, as I use speakers much of the time anyway, it doesn’t really make that much difference. I would recommend buying a set of small desktop speakers if you require booming sound but for normal use, the built-in speakers are more than adequate.

Battery Time - This Acer Aspire computer really is a monster so you can’t expect battery time to be the same as a mini notebook that will run for 6 hours. On the few occasions I have used the battery though (I usually have it plugged into an outlet), it’s run almost 3 hours before it’s needed to be recharged.

Weight of the Acer Aspire 8930 Laptop Computer - If you’re looking for a notebook computer to carry around town easily then the 8930 laptop is not for you. Weighing in at around 9lbs it’s like lugging around a bowling ball, but that’s not really it’s purpose. For short trips now and again, the weight is absolutely fine but I would say if you want an easily portable laptop computer, look elsewhere.

The Acer Aspire 8930 is an exceptional computer for quality, performance and price. If you’re looking for a high-end laptop that plays games, videos, DVDs, CDs, any software program you could want and more, you can’t go wrong with the Acer Aspire 8930.

The Dell Company is known as one of the pioneers in the manufacturing of high quality laptop in the world. The category is well articulated and high performing. The introduction of the Dell Studio XPS 16 has given a plus to their technical knowhow. The XPS 16 is quite similar to the Dell studio 17, which is as a result of some touch-sensitive media buttons situated above the keyboard featured in the device. The only disadvantage a procurer would have with the white LED rear-light is that it might reduce the battery life of the device.

The indicator lights and IR port are located at the front of the device while at the rear side of the Studio XPS 16 only shows the heat exhaust and the battery. The VGA, TV turner antenna jack, security loct slot, two USB and many more are situated on the left side of the device, while the right side of the Studio XPS 16 host the card reader, FireWire, slot-loading optical drive and many more.

The performance of the Dell Studio XPS 16 notebook is quite impressive. In the sense that it is capable of playing average high quality games for game-lovers that would love to use their system to play games. This is because the device is equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4GHz processor. 3D graphics work is supported by the Dell studio XPS 16 with assistance of the ATI Radeon HD 3670 graphiccs card.

It is discover that the start-up of the Studio XPS 16 notebook is relative slow due to the pre-installed software.

When comparing the Dell Studio 16 notebook with that of the HP HDX 18t notebook, one would find out that the later is high performing than the former. This is because the HP HDX 18t notebook is equipped with a Core 2 Duo T9600 @ 2.8 Ghz.

The device uses a 9-cell lithium-ion battery. The battery takes about 120 minutes before it would be fully charged. When much applications are in used the battery life is able to stay for about 170 minutes.

I would call the Dell studeio XPS 16 notebook an average-factor device. Which means that it is affordable to buy. With about one thousand and five hundred dollars in your pocket, the device can be bought. Check your local shop for adequate pricing.

Siemens is a really old phone brand. Back when all the phones came in black-and-white monochromatic displays, Siemens came up with some of the smallest, compact phones that totally changed the bulky look of phones. However, it’s been a long while since I saw any Siemens phones in the market. Recently however, I came across one phone from Siemens. Apparently, the brand is no longer just Siemens but BenQ-Siemens. Probably has something to do with some corporate takeover stuff that I have no idea about. Anyway, this is the review on the phone.

The BenQ-Siemens EF71 or EF71 for short, is a flip-type phone that measures 90 x 47 x 18.5 mm. The phone weighs 100 g. For a flip phone, it is slightly heavy. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the dimensions of the phone. The phone is thin and compact. The flip mechanism is easy to use and you wont find the phone getting stuck when trying to open it. The EF71 comes in a silver-ish color that is interspersed with black markings. This makes the EF71 look very classy and stylish. Top marks for design.

As for the display, the EF71 has a 176 x 220 screen. Thats about2.2 inches diagonally. Again, I am a Nokia user so I a not quite used to the screen size. Nevertheless, the display is still large. I had no problems viewing it. I played a few games on the phone and the screen is large enough for that purpose too. You really don’t have to place the phone close to your eyes to see whats on the display. The display is capable of displaying 256 colors, making it very competitive with other phones you might find nowadays. The display works fine both indoors and outdoors.

As for connectivity, the EF71 is capable of making Bluetooth and USB connections for device to device data transfer. USB and Bluetooth connections are fast. No complaints there. Now as for the internet, the phone is only capable of making GPRS Class 10 Internet connections. It is definitely faster than older GPRS connections. The phone is very stable while browsing the Internet. Not once did the phone crash while I was using it.

There is a built in 2.0-megapixel camera in the phone. Thats right. 2.0. thats equals very clear pictures. The pictures are even better than soma of the Nokia phones’ pictures. The phone comes with a MicroSD card slot and 24 MB of internal memory.

Dude this phone is awesome! The only problem I ever faced with this phone is the volume controls are not so responsive, especially when the loud speaker is used. Other than that, this phone is perfect!

BenQ V2200 kaufen

I officially like phones from BenQ-Siemens. I mean if you’ve raed my previous reviews on this brand, you would agree with me too! Enough talk. Let’s get on with the review of another phone from BenQ-Siemens that I found and used recently.

The phone I am going to write a review on is the BenQ-Siemens E81, or E81 for simplicity’s sake. The E81 measures 100 x 47 x 17 mm. A little thicker than the other BenQ-Siemens phones, but still thinner than your average phone nevertheless. I for one, won’t complain about the phone’s size. The E81 weighs 90 grams, or around that at least. No complaints about that either! I love how light the phone is. Now for the design. All I have to say is that no phone has ever looked so good in black before! This is easily one of the sleekest, most elegant looking phone ever! I’m giving full marks for design. It comes with a price though: the body attracts fingerprints like a magnet. You’ve gotta wipe it often.

The screen on the E81 is a 1.8″ TFT screen. That would be roughly 176 x 220 pixels. The color capability of this screen is 256 thousand colors. The screen seems to be identical to one of BenQ-Siemens older phones that I used before. I had no complaints about that screen. I have nonoe about this one too. The screen is perfect.

GPRS Class 10 and 3G. That is the Internet capability of this phone. I still wonder why BenQ-Siemens phones lack EDGE. Its annoying. The lack of EDGE would usually spoil an otherwise perfect phone. Oh well. At least the E81 is very stable when browsing web pages. The phone only crashed once when I tried to open a page with over a hundred images. Otherwise, no such thing occurred. You can use either Bluetooth or USB connections for data transfer. USB speeds are faster than Bluetooth speeds.

This is one of those phones that have 3G but no videocall. There isn’t any secondary videocall camera on this phone. It does have a 1.3 MP camera with flash. The flash makes a big difference when taking pictures pictures turn out really clear and bright. In addition to that, the E81 is capable of playing MP3, AAC and XMF files. Not really sure what XMF is (because I don’t have any such files) so I cant comment on that. The audio quality is however quite good. I liked it. The phone comes with 16MBs of internal memory and a MicroSD card slot. Card usage does not affect the phone’s performance.

This phone is merely alright, due to the lack of videocall. Not a bad buy though, considering the cheap price.

The horse paradox is a falsidical paradox that arises from flawed demonstrations, which purport to use mathematical induction, of the statement All horses are the same color. There is no actual contradiction, as these arguments have a crucial flaw that makes them incorrect. This example was used by George Pólya as an example of the subtle errors that can occur in attempts to prove statements by induction.

The flawed argument claims to be based on mathematical induction, and proceeds as follows:

Suppose that we have a set of five horses. We wish to prove that they are all the same color. Suppose that we had a proof that all sets of four horses were the same color. If that were true, we could prove that all five horses are the same color by removing a horse to leave a group of four horses. Do this in two ways, and we have two different groups of four horses. By our supposed existing proof, since these are groups of four, all horses in them must be the same color. For example, the first, second, third and fourth horses constitute a group of four, and thus must all be the same color; and the second, third, fourth and fifth horses also constitute a group of four and thus must also all be the same color. For this to occur, all five horses in the group of five must be the same color.

But how are we to get a proof that all sets of four horses are the same color? We apply the same logic again. By the same process, a group of four horses could be broken down into groups of three, and then a group of three horses could be broken down into groups of two, and so on. Eventually we will reach a group size of one, and it is obvious that all horses in a group of one horse must be the same color.

By the same logic we can also increase the group size. A group of five horses can be increased to a group of six, and so on upwards, so that all finite sized groups of horses must be the same color.

The argument above makes the implicit assumption that the two subsets of horses to which the induction assumption is applied have a common element. This is not true when n = 1, that is, when the original set only contains 2 horses.

Let the two horses be horse A and horse B. When horse A is removed, it is true that the remaining horses in the set are the same color (only horse B remains). If horse B is removed instead, this leaves a different set containing only horse A, which may or may not be the same color as horse B.

The problem in the argument is the assumption that because each of these two sets contains only one color of horses, the original set also contained only one color of horses. Because there are no common elements (horses) in the two sets, it is unknown whether the two horses share the same color. The proof forms a falsidical paradox; it seems to show something manifestly false by valid reasoning, but in fact the reasoning is flawed. The horse paradox exposes the pitfalls arising from failure to consider special cases for which a general statement may be false.
